The award winning 18-hole course at Plettenberg Bay Country Club is set in a private nature reserve. The course is easy to walk, and the two main inclines can be observed from the veranda. The main attraction being the challenging layout built to USGA specifications and is rated in the TOP 50 in South Africa.
TAP IN: Being a nature reserve the birdlife is spectacular, bring your binoculars to spot: African Olive Pigeon, Knysna Turaco, Knysna Warbler, Knysna Woodpecker, Olive Bush-Shrike, Olive Woodpecker.
Goose Valley Golf Club
Goose Valley Golf Club is located just a couple of kilometres outside Plett, and bordering on the Keurbooms Lagoon, this 18-hole Gary Player designed golf course offers some of the most mesmerising views, from the Keurbooms Lagoon, and Indian Ocean to the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Robberg Peninsula – these sites can all be seen from a number of tee-boxes.

Roodefontein Driving Range
The ideal place to get your swing in with a spectacular view of the Roodefontein Dam and the Plett Country Club, golfers can use this space to hone their game.

Knysna Golf Club
Just a 20-minute drive from The Plettenberg is the beautiful hamlet of Knysna there are a few world-renowned courses here too. Situated on the shores of the Knysna Lagoon and close to the famous Heads, you’ll find the Knysna Golf Club. A truly magnificent setting the 18-hole course meanders through tidal pools and between indigenous trees. It’s said that the ‘long par-5s, imposing par-3s and some challenging par-4s, make it an enjoyable but thought-provoking course for players of all levels’.
