Guitars in Concert - Plettenberg Bay
Posted by: Veronique Rossouw | Posted in News, The Plettenberg | on August 27, 2010

The Guitars in Concert - which aims to raise funds for Place of Hope, a charity supported by The Plettenberg - will be taking place on the 28th of August 2010 (tomorrow).

Time:            7pm

Place:           St. Peters Anglican Hall, Plettenberg Bay

Price:            R80 (includes a bowl of soup, a roll and a drink)

This local home, for abandoned children, has received very little government support so to raise additional and much needed funds and awareness top guitarists - from Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Plettenberg Bay - will be performing.

The Plettenberg General Manager, Lisa Knight, and Assistant General Manager, Justin Mitchell, recently paid a visit to the Place of Hope baby shelter. Here they met the gracious Celia who selflessly cares for six orphaned HIV/AIDS toddlers.

Performers include well-known guitarists: Avril Kinsey, Dr Rudi Bower and Johan Rautenbach alongside local musicians. The programme promises to be a fantastic mix of both classical and modern guitar-music and is a must for any music lover.

If you haven’t yet purchased tickets you can do so through Jane - 072 385 4610.
