Mr David Rawdon
August 30, 2010

David Rawdon, one of the South African hospitality industry pioneers, sadly passed away earlier this month.

David was actively involved in starting a number of South Africa’s most famous hotels including Rawdon’s Country House – in the Midlands – Lanzerac Hotel, the Matjiesfontein Village (including the iconic Lord Milner Hotel) and our very own Marine Hotel in Hermanus.

Those who knew David will attest to the fact that he was an extraordinary individual whose life, of 85 years, was full of phenomenal accomplishments and visionary ideas.
