Liz McGrath, Proprietor of The Collection, a group of three 5 star hotels in the Cape Province, South Africa, offering first class, luxury accommodation. In 1987 the old Look-out was the first hotel to be transformed from a virtually derelict, but superbly situated one star hotel, into the exclusive Plettenberg, where the rich and famous enjoy one of the most dramatically beautiful views in the world.
In 1992 the next project was the purchase of The Cellars Country House, a nine-roomed guest house in Constantia and a year later, The Hohenort, on the next-door property. With extensive renovations to the buildings and the beautiful gardens, it became the Cellars-Hohenort Hotel.
In 1998 Liz McGrath added a third hotel to her Collection, a one hundred year old landmark - The Marine Hermanus. To mirror the image of the other two hotels and provide the same standard of style, elegance and comfort.
