Food & Wine
The exceptional cuisine of The Cellars-Hohenort is overseen by Relais & Châteaux Grand Chef Peter Tempelhoff. Each carefully crafted dish is matched with the finest Cape wines, as well as the charming service we have become synonymous with.
The award-winning team of Greenhouse at The Cellars-Hohenort use the bountiful produce of the Constantia Valley to tell the story of the region. The culture, flavours and terroir of the surrounding area are whimsically fused within the dishes of Greenhouse, creating a multi-sensory, modernist dining experience.
While Head Chef Peter Tempelhoff stretches the boundaries of local cuisine at Greenhouse, The Conservatory continues to serve up some firm favourites.
From Cape Malay rubbed line fish to Springbok on the braai and free range burgers with all the trimmings, The Conservatory’s menu features classic dishes made to only the highest standards. Some of our own traditions appear too – one of Liz McGrath’s personal recipes is included here.
Our grill section is a perennial favourite. Join us for lunch and try the rib eye steak or the grilled rare tuna while enjoying the view of Table Mountain and surrounds.
We try and incorporate fresh produce picked from our gardens as often possible, to give you that local, homegrown flavour. You’ll taste the difference.
Just off the reception area within the Cellars building of The Cellars-Hohenort in Constantia, Cape Town, The Martini Bar is an elegant space suited for both high tea occasions and sophisticated evening drinks.
Situated in the Hohenort building of The Cellars-Hohenort, Greenhouse Bar looks out over the property’s beautiful, lush gardens. The award-winning gardens are reflected in the bar’s contemporary décor.
